To protect sensitive files and inputs, the majority of Getsmore tools use client-side technologies. This means the code runs on your device, not our servers.

File Operations: PDF Tools (Unlock, Protect, Numbering, Image to PDF) and Image Tools (Compress, Resize, Convert, Watermark) process files in memory. Files are never uploaded.
Data Generation: Password Generator, Hash Generator, and QR Code Generator create data locally.
Text Analysis: Word Counter and Text Repeater process text inputs instantly in the browser.
Calculators: Age, BMI, GST, Percentage, and Discount calculators perform math logic locally.

This design ensures that documents and images are processed directly on your device and are not uploaded to Getsmore servers.

4. File Transfer Privacy

Our File Transfer tool operates on a decentralized Peer-to-Peer (P2P) architecture using WebRTC technology.

Direct Connection: Files are streamed directly between the sender's and receiver's devices. They are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
Signaling Data: A temporary signaling connection is used solely to exchange connection metadata (SDP/ICE candidates) to establish the link. This metadata does not contain your file contents.
STUN/TURN Servers: In "Online/Automatic" mode, public STUN/TURN servers are used to traverse firewalls (NAT). While traffic is encrypted, data flows through these public relays. For absolute privacy, we recommend using "Manual Mode" on a local network or Hotspot, which does not use external relays.

5. Data Persistence & Storage

Since we do not have a backend database for user data, we use your browser's capabilities for convenience:

Local Storage: Tools like the Resume Builder and World Clock save your progress or preferences (e.g., draft resume, selected cities) in your browser's Local Storage. This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us.
URL Encoding: Tools like Timer Message and Countdown Message embed your content directly into the generated link. We do not store these messages; they exist only within the link you share.

6. External Services & APIs

While most tools operate locally, certain utilities require external data sources to function. In such cases, your browser communicates directly with public third-party APIs.

Weather Tools: Use public weather APIs (such as Open-Meteo) to retrieve location-based forecasts.
IP & Network Tools: Use public IP services (such as ipify) to display network-related information.

Getsmore does not intercept, log, or store data transmitted to or from these third-party services.

Getsmore does not use invasive tracking cookies. Limited use of LocalStorage is made solely to improve user experience.
