What is Temporary Chat?

Temporary Chat is a free, private, browser-based chat tool. You can talk to anyone, share images, videos, and audio — all without creating an account. When you close the tab, the chat is gone forever. Nothing is saved on any server.

It works directly from browser to browser using WebRTC technology. Your messages travel straight to the other person — not through any website or company server. This makes it one of the most private ways to chat online.

Sharing Files & Media

You can share more than just text in Temporary Chat. The 📎 attach button lets you send:

The maximum file size is 50 MB. Files larger than this will be blocked. All files are sent directly to the other person and are never uploaded to any server.

Common Questions

Can more than 2 people join the chat?

No. Temporary Chat is designed for a private 1-on-1 conversation. Only one guest can join a room at a time. If a second person tries to join, they will be blocked automatically.

What happens if the internet disconnects?

If either person loses internet, the chat will automatically end. Since there is no server saving the session, it cannot be recovered. You would need to start a new chat room.

Is this safe to use for sensitive information?

Yes. The connection is encrypted end-to-end using WebRTC security protocols. No one in between can read your messages. However, always be careful about who you share your room code with, as anyone with the code can request to join.

Does it work on mobile phones?

Yes! Temporary Chat is fully responsive and works on Android and iPhone browsers. You can send messages and share files from your phone without any app download.

Why can't I send a file larger than 50 MB?

Since files are sent directly through your browser's memory (RAM), very large files can cause the browser tab to slow down or crash. The 50 MB limit keeps the experience fast and stable for everyone.
